Please don't believe the bad reviews until you've gone in yourself.

We went in and loved the place! The staff was very friendly and all the dogs were getting loved on! The place was clean and smell good no bad pet smells.

We had a great variety to choose from. The staff was wonderful. We had Payton helping us. She knew the breeds and guided us well. I told her what we were looking for and she sway us to the perfect match! She even told us the dog we loved wasn't a good match for what we were looking and she cost more. So they definitely don't try to push you to get the most expensive! She took the time to let us look, answer all our questions, and never pushed us to make a decision.

Our dog is beautiful, was clean, and well taken care of!

If you can, please take some time to read this review. I, like many people, really enjoy going to Anthony’s Pets and looking at their cute dogs and other animals. By the time my wife and I decided to buy a puppy, one of the first places that came to my mind was Anthony’s. However, we were a little dissuaded, because of the many negative reviews we’d read about it.
We thought that possibly most of these reviews were only by people who felt they had bad experiences, and those that had good experiences just hadn’t written about them. So, we decided to get our puppy from Anthony’s, and had a wonderful experience, and still do to this day.
We decided to adopt one of the Puggle puppies they had, and the girl who helped us check out was very good about explaining to us the health history of this dog. She informed us that he had had a respiratory infection, she told us how they had treated it, and that he had a surgery for an umbilical hernia. She was very detailed when she went through the adoption papers with us, and their adoption policy. We were given his birth information, etc. The girl who helped us was very friendly, and really wanted us to be happy with our selection.
If you’re considering adopting a pet, first off be informed. Know about the animal you’re thinking of adopting and know what equipment you’ll need to take of them properly. Know what health issues can be associated with your future pet, and see a vet very shortly (1-2 days) after adopting the animal. Ask questions so you know what you’re getting into. Understand that the temperament of your pet while they’re small and at the pet store may change when they get home and grow up.
Anthony’s Pet Store is a great place who cares about their animals. Please don’t let some of these negative reviews sway you from adopting from them. Our puppy is healthy, and happy as can be. If we ever decide to get another dog we will definitely be using Anthony’s again.

Worst place ever and terrible management. When I arrived I saw two puppies eating their feces. I quickly informed the ladies at the front. While one went to clean it up, the other (I think the owner?) simply said it was no big deal and that they do it all the time!! I am quite confident that if the other worker didn't clean the up, the owner never would have. That can cause giardia and other serious lifelong health issues in dogs! The fact that she was so nonchalant about it is pretty appalling. That is neglectful. I feel awful for those little puppies, and I would be quite concerned that they (and others) might be sick. It's really sad that someone who owns a pet store and should care for their animals took so little care of them, even right in front of her potential customers - what happens when customers aren't around?!

the staff is very knowledgeable about petcare and only have the pets best interests in mind. they are always clean, well fed, have constant access to water and most certainly are not drugged. they do live in a kennel but hundreds of people take them out and play with them daily- if you go to anthonys pets take a puppy or kitten into a playroom. not only is it fun for you but the animals love getting out and having attention. the owner is a pet lover and wouldnt let any of his animals be neglected by the staff.

Awful place that does not care...

Awful place that does not care about its animals. When I went in there I was disgusted to see the pups in the cages they where in, some even had sores. We asked management if they where aware of it and they said they where putting medicine on it however weeks later the pups still have the sores and they have gotten worst. to top it off in the back we found 5+ dead rats in the rat cage. it was not even like they could have just missed it because two rats are dead with there feet in the air in the front of the container. This place needs to be shut down and the owners arrested for animal abuse. Here are the photos I took when there https://plus.google.com/photos/104292572851955825101/albums/5734685699416915841?authkey=CJW77vS6-M_abg
