Provided by YP.comI would recommend Horn Properties to everyone. One of the best places I've ever rented from. When I moved into my little one bedroom apartment, it was spotless and ready for me to move in. Any maintenance issues I had were handled in a efficient timely manner. Everyone in the office was really kind and helpful. There was one semester that I had lost my job and was having difficulty getting my rent in on time, they were very understanding and worked with me. When I moved out I felt like the cleaning list was a little intense, but when considering how clean my apartment was when I moved in it was really understandable, especially after I rented from a different property owner and was sorely disappointed that it was not as clean when I had moved into a horn properties apartment. By far the favorite company I have ever rented from!

Provided by YP.comThey do appear nice and responsive initially. However, once signed-- it is all on their time-if at all. Be SURE to read everything in the lease and also check out from the website what is expected at move out time. Really? Take the screens out and wash all the windows, light fixtures, etc? So, then what is the confiscated deposit for? I know many students leave places a pit, but we left a neat place (not doing the screens however), expected some of the deposit to be kept for marginal cleaning and painting, but not all of it. Also, plumbing issues in the winter kept the toilet from being used all weekend (with visitors) for lame reasons. The emergency number is worthless as well. Not a good experience.

Provided by YP.comApart from the house being in terrible condition and always falling apart (and being blamed on us), Horn Properties was terrible to work with.
Coming back from winter break, I arrived to find our front door wide open (no one had been there for at least two weeks). Horn had inspected the property for broken pipes and failed to close or lock the door and therefore left our house wide open for days, maybe weeks. I had to call the police to inspect the house before I would go in.
Upon moving out, I left a couch there which was going to be removed before the end of our lease. After we left in May, Horn removed and disposed of the couch (my property) and then proceeded to charge us for it by deducting from our security deposit even though our lease didn't end until July.
They have themselves covered in the lease- watch out. They're going to blame you for everything and then charge you for it. DO NOT rent from this company.

Provided by YP.comI lived in an apartment for one year and Horn Properties charged me over $600 in damage for stuff that was already present in the apartment!! They think they can take advantage of college students. Well, I would not advise living in ANY of their properties.
