As per previous reviewers; DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE!! Same experience. I took my vehicle in for routine work { brakes all the way around, Tune up} not only was I charged for the most expensive parts and labor , but put the cheapest parts on, as well as, charging me for all brakes and only putting on the back!! Oh that isn't all....Lug nuts were off and not tightened on wheel, so my children and I almost had a wreck going down the highway! Wait it gets better, After taking my money to put a new carb on, he not only made my vehicle even worse by putting a hole in my manifold , a manual choke that was not needed, and so many exhaust leaks that I am still dealing with issues. Basically I paid this business $1000 to completely screw up my vehicle! Im still having problems!! Incompetence at its best!!!

While driving my car at highway speed it would drop from 5th gear to 3rd gear randomly. The first time it happened the check engine light and the AT light both came on and did not shut off (until codes were cleared). I have seen several of these issues reported with my car type online. I first had the codes checked at Advanced Auto. The codes showed Solenoid A malfunction. I then took my car to Affordable Engines & Transmissions on April 2nd, 2015 for a solenoid replacement. They told me on April 20th that they ordered the wrong solenoid and that they hoped to have the correct part in the next day. They then called me on April 22nd for pick up. I picked the car up and drove it 1mi down the road and it again dropped from 5th to 3rd gear and the AT and check engine lights came back on. I turned right back around and took it back to AE&T. They then called me on May 19th and said there was no ground or wire communication to the transmission computer. They said they would check with a second opinion from another shop and get back to me. They then called me on May 29th and said they could not fix my car and that I was free to come pick it up. I went to pick it up that very same day. As soon as I started the car it started missing so bad I had to pull out in third gear. I drove it half a mile down the road and parked it. It was shaking terribly and making a very loud noise. I called AE&T and asked them what was wrong with the car and they told me to bring it back in. I of course refused because of the previous trouble I had with them. So I again asked them what was wrong with my car. He then proceeded to tell me to hold while he checked with the mechanic. He asked the mechanic if the car was ready and the mechanic told him no. He told him there were parts that he had yet to put back on the car. I then of course asked what parts were left off and they told me they didn’t know that the mechanic had already took another car out. I then took the car back to the shop and the supposed “parts” they left off were the plastic panels that covered the fuse box under the dash. Parts that clearly do NOT affect the way the engine runs. So, not only did I pay $400.00 for them to have not fixed the problem, but I paid $400.00 for them to send it back to me with an additional engine problem. I have never been so displeased with customer service from anywhere. I would never recommend anyone go here. They will just mess your car up even worse than it originally was. I don’t know how they are still in business.

These guys got me for 1800.00 on a rebuild. Engine lasted less than 10k miles. I treid to get them to repair it but it litterally lasted 1 day to long before it crapped out. Just trying to save someone else from making my mistake.,

They'll tell you that they will deliver an engine and then claim they don't deliver. They say you'll get a 1 yr warranty that changes into a 6 month warranty. They claim later on and not upfront that you have 45 days on core charge refund. When wanting documentation on your engines, it takes them 30 minutes to find it then they throw everything together. Scam artists

They seemed like good people gave me a price on what it would cost to rebuild my transmission and told me at the most it would cost so much and said it would take 5-7 days. In the end it took 3 weeks and they charged my wife about $300 more than what they told me so overall very angry there lucky i didnt pick the vehicle up im very upset and will not use this company again.

I have used this business several times over the last few years and I have found them very knowledgeable, and friendly and most of all as their name says affordable. A good deal for the money. Judy D.
