Rude staff! They treated my husband like crap and when I called they wouldn't even speak to me. From what I've heard it's unsanitary and treat inmates like crap

My wife has to do 60 days and I know it's not a hotel but she has serious medical conditions and been on the same medicine for 20 yrs and not to mention she has a chance of being pregnant not a single medical staff has asked her anything they pit her in a cell and refused to even hear what she has to say I'm not asking for special treatment but at least make sure they are not going to DIE while you have them locked up because the withdraws from the meds she is on are very dangerous and can kill you and this place don't care in the slightest all that hope on channel 5 news was nothing but lies and someone needs to investigate their medical practices some of these people are very very bad people and do not need to be working in a place like this not everyone there is bad people but no matter everyone deserves medical treatment a dog in the pound gets better medical treatment then a inmate at the sullivan co.jail!!!!

The jail does say on their web page that they take care of the sick and chronically ill. they do not give them medication that is necessary to make a difference in if they live or die.my son takes medication that depends on if he stays in remission or not and they will not give him the medication that controls that..

Yes the treatment in the sullivan co. jail is not the best. But your not at the ritz either. I spent 5 months there as a young stupid kid and have to say it made me change my life and get my head out of my hinny. We all make mistakes but sometimes you have to wake up and smell the coffee and this jail will make you do that.
