Located in Blythewood, S.C., Blythewood Middle School serves more than 1,000 students in grades six through eight and offers a range of athletic activities, such as basketball, football, soccer, cheerleading and volleyball. The school s academic departments include science, enrichment, language arts, math, foreign language, special services and social studies. The middle school has counselors who serve as a consultant for teachers and parents and provides information that assists in meeting the students academic and emotional needs. The school operates a media center that offers a collection of books on various topics and provides a range of databases, encyclopedias, magazines, newspapers, online resources and reference materials to students. Blythewood Middle School has received the Citation of Excellence from the National Band Association.
