My association with Sensei Barry Stephen began in 2009, when I attended his Karate class at the Florida Atlantic University Boca Raton. I was a Mechanical Engineering student striving to attain my Bachelor degree.

Sensei always arrived on time, prepared to challenge the students. His energy, enthusiasm and zest for teaching Karate were evident as he led them through various fun physical activities. His exceptional leadership skills proved unquestionable as he captured the attention of all students, and somehow managed to get them to perform to their utmost ability. His respect for the students was clear and they willingly reciprocated. We were very fortunate to have Sensei Barry Stephen serve as a positive role model, especially in our times today were we need it most.



I subsequently retained his services as my martial art instructor and have been training with him since then. Sensei is a dedicated professional, very knowledgeable and personable. He has great knowledge of body mechanics, muscle function and is capable of determining the individual abilities of his students. His pleasant and positive attitude is a great asset to his willingness to work with his students at their own levels. He instills confidence and encouragement to make you want to work further and apply yourself more diligently. I found Sensei Stephen to be an extraordinary physical trainer of tremendous versatility, intelligence and discipline -- and he is a lot of fun too.

I wish I could be half as accomplished as he is one day and radiate the humility he possesses.

If you are looking for a Top Notch Experience.. Look no Further! I have been coming to Stephens Karate and Fitness Center since January 2012 to learn Kickboxing. Barry is a kind, patient, knowledgeable and very experienced instructor. The class environment and team work is wonderful. This is the place to be to reach any martial art goal you may desire. Come in and see for yourself!

As a current student of Stephen's Karate, I would strongly recommend this school to anybody. I am appalled at the other negative review because my experience (and my children's experience) has been the complete opposite. The owner/lead instructor is caring and empathetic, he provides highly individualized attention to his students, and he takes great pride in maintaining the integrity and cleanliness of his studio. If you choose Stephen's Karate, you will not be disappointed!

Stephen's Karate & Kickboxing Center is the BEST choice you can make for your child and for your family! I believe that ALL kids will benefit from the physical instruction and character discipline that are so much a part of what Sensei Stephen provides. Be prepared to be amazed at what your child can accomplish! I have become part of a family there, and find that I care about the success of the other students as much as that of myself. It is exciting to be part of the growth and achievement that is evident in Barry Stephen's students! I have seen little kids become confident, healthy, respectful, disciplined...and ultimately a BLACK BELT!
