I went in with a very specific request and a very narrow time frame. I'm sure they knew that it was almost impossible to sell me a bike that day given what I was asking for and in the end they didn't. What they did do was something that I did not experience at any other shop I had been in all day (I visited just about every store in the San Antonio area). First , they spent time searching for what I asked for, and when it became apparent that they could not help me, they spent time explaining other options with regard to frame size, utility, comfort and so on. As a result I was eventually able to find what I needed somewhere else but when the time comes and I have reasonable requirements for a bike, I will be back to this store. I don't care where in the area you're coming from, this place is not too far a drive for this level of service.

The Bicycle Shack in Boerne is an excellent bike shop. Their service is, by far, the best in the area. Great selection, and good people to deal with. Even though it is a fairly large shop, it has the "old school" local bike shop feel to it. I hate to go to a bike shop and feel like I'm in Wal-Mart, which is what most of the San Antonio bike shops feel like.

Has everything I need. HIGHLY RECOMENDED !
