Jack W. Rountree Jr., OD, therapeutic optometrist and optometric glaucoma specialist, has a straightforward practice philosophy and says, “I’m proud of my staff and our commitment to give the best medical and optical care to each and every patient because, truly, this is why we are here.”Dr. Rountree specializes in the detection and treatment of medical eye conditions including Lasik and implant contact lens (ICL) evaluations as well as eye examinations for glasses and specialty contact lenses for patients of all ages. A native Texan, Dr. Rountree earned a Doctorate of Optometry at the University of Houston College of Optometry after graduating from the University of Texas at San Antonio. He has practiced eye care at Ft. Sam Army Base in San Antonio and in eye care practices in Houston. He is actively involved in community volunteer service and with numerous professional organizations.
