The new property manager is a ...

The new property manager is a horrid person. She is incredibly rude and does not know how to take care of the tenants. I pay a lot of money to live here and she does not treat me like I'm a valued customer. The landscaping has turned into weeds - all they do is mow the weeds, and every time they mow, they somehow manage to plaster my car with bits that stick and dry in the heat so I'm stuck scrubbing my car to get them off. The manager doesn't give a crap about people, only numbers, and she will raise the rent on you without batting an eye. She lets anyone rent, no filters, and the police are VERY familiar with the complex. People are moving out as fast as they can. Do NOT move here, because you will end up paying. Try Carrington or Ranger Creek - surely they know how to treat people better.

I am not putting the number of years on here because we haven't moved yet and I'm concerned about repercussions. Other tenants have experienced the same thing.

I have posted images of her May 2012 newsletter. Read it through and ask yourself if you want to live in a place whose manager actually writes something like that and gives it to everyone.

The new manager, Carolyn, is a...

The new manager, Carolyn, is a complete nightmare. A very nice lady (who was moving in a couple weeks anyway because the manager decided to hike up the rent prices) wasn't getting any hot water to her unit so she asked for a water heater repair. The manager called out some guy who wasn't even trained or qualified as an HVAC technician so he had no idea what to do. He told the manager the heater was fixed, but since he was clueless, obviously the lady was still not getting hot water. She again asked the manager for a repair. The manager called her a liar and said the water heater was fixed, and then proceeded to slap the lady with a lease violation for "mess." This lady had her two bikes and a patio table outside, very neatly kept. But she was moving anyway, so the lease violation was clearly out of spite! Well, obviously tenants are all entitled to something as basic as hot water, so this lady called the building owner and asked for the repair. Later, she got a call from the manager chewing her out. The manager then proceeded to give her AN EVICTION NOTICE with police present!! She had two days to move out. The manager said she had also done thousands of dollars worth of damage to the unit, which is highly doubtable, and charged her fees. This lady lived there with just her niece, very nice, quiet people. Let me say again, this lady was already in the process of moving out because of the rent hikes. The lease violation and eviction were PURE SPITE. The manager used to manage a Section 8 complex, so she really doesn't know how to work with quality people who pay good money for their residence. She's not even a licensed real estate agent. I can only hope that other nice people who end up leaving are able to get out without the same hassle and financial penalties. DO NOT MOVE HERE. It is NOT worth the potential headache if you ever want to leave. On another note, the units themselves look lovely from the outside, but the build quality is the cheapest possible. You can hear every noise in the other units. Because of the cheap quality, you never know when a cabinet door will fall off or the flooring will get damaged, all things you will probably have to pay for when you leave.
