Provided by YP.comThis office is very accommodating. I came in early one time and they were more than happy to take me in early anyways. They had a great selection when I was purchasing glasses as well. I'm so glad they are located so close to me!

Provided by YP.comIf you're thinking about lasik this is the place to go! My vision is awesome and these people are great! Don't waste your time going to other places for lasik sceenings. I did that and there's no comparison. The people at Artisan Optics give you so much more information and don't act like they're tired of doing free screenings for people. By the way, the other places did! Needless to say I had LASIK with Artisan Optics and couldn't be happier. Not only is my vision perfect but they are still so nice any time I go in. After LASIK you have follow-up visits that you don't pay extra for. I have two friends who went someplace else (they had LASIK before me) and they tell me there's a huge difference in how they were treated when they had to lay down the bucks for LASIK vs going in for free follow-up visits. The discounts you get with insurance at Artisan Optics are a bonus. I tell all my friends who are even thinking about LASIK to only go to Artisan Optics. Great vision. Great service. Great prices. It doesn't get any better than Artisan Optics. Thanks for my awesome vision!!!

Provided by YP.comI was in Boise on business when I discovered Artisan Optics. What an incredible experience! When I entered the store I was amazed to find such a friendly and knowledgeable staff...and what a selection of frames to choose from! I live in a city 5 times the size of Boise and we don't have anything like Artisan Optics where I come from. I have been looking for a decent pair of frames for over 5 years, then I went to Artisan Optics and the selection was so great that I found multiple frames that I fell in love with. I didn't have an up to date prescription so I had an eye exam with their doctor. I've never had such a thorough eye exam before, and I liked the way the doctor actually listened to me and asked questions. I felt like he really cared about me and my experience there. He's wonderful and I LOVE the way I see with my new glasses and sunglasses. I travel to Boise several times a year so even though I don't live in Idaho, Artisan Optics is now my new eye doctor. Artisan Optics is a rare find.

Provided by YP.comThe staff and the doctors at Artisan Optics are very professional and attentive to my needs as a customer and as a patient. They were very thorough in every aspect in my vision correction and selection of procedures that I had available to me. From my frames and prescription and the reputation of their lasik procedures, I feel very comfortable recommending Artisan Optics for any individual looking for any optical need.

Provided by YP.comvery lax about measuring your frames to fit you (your PD, etc). When I picked up my $900 glasses they just gave them to me and said "Don't be a stranger." They didn't even bother to see if the PD was correct, to see if the frames were too tight/loose, nothing. And I didn't even get a case for them. For that much money I expect them to make sure the glasses are perfect. I don't think their people are qualified or trained. They certainly didn't seem to care. The glasses are giving me huge headaches - these are my 2nd pair of progressives and they are horrible. I can't read with them and it is like I am looking through fishbowls.
Daremo9, Please stop by our Uptown location to allow us to evaluate the adjustment and fitting of your glasses. If you are experiencing difficulty reading it is most likely a minor adjustment. This is not out of the ordinary with progressive lenses, and varies from person to person. Computer use, reading in bed, and certain hobbies can present unique challenges in the use of progressive lenses. We do measure PD's using a digital instrument to insure accuracy, but will be happy to double check the PD for you as well when you stop in. All of our frames come with a case, and we place the finished product in the case to protect the glasses until they are dispensed to the customer. Again, when you stop in we will be happy to provide you with another. We look forward to being of assistance to you, and encourage you to stop by at your earliest convenience. A new pair of glasses are much like a new pair of shoes. After you wear your new glasses for a few days you may feel that they are a bit loose in an area, or perhaps too snug in another. A simple stop by our office allows us to make those minor adjustments that can make all of the difference. Which is why we tell our customers "Please, don't be a stranger" We want to let our customers know we're here to help, and they are always welcome...
