The Boise Fire Department, and ISO class 3-rated organization, provides a full range of residential, commercial and industrial fire fighting services to the residents of Boise, Idaho, and the surrounding area. The department includes an aircraft rescue and fire fighting unit, a water rescue team, a paramedic unit, a hazardous materials response team, a medical response unit, a technical rescue team and an advanced life support unit. The department operates approximately 15 fire stations and employs more than 230 fully trained personnel. The Boise Fire Department serves more than 200,000 residents in a nearly 75-acre area.
