We drove from downtown Boise to check out Cancun because it had been over a year since we had eaten there. We should have continued waiting. We decided on the buffet b/c of the price value. After taking our first bite, we realized why it was so cheap. The food was horrible. There was so much grease in everything, it was running down our arms and overpowered any sense of flavor they attempted to create. My son had ordered nachos and even though the main agreement is cheese, it was so rediculously smothered in it, he could hardly find his chips. He gave up after three bites. The grease was leaking off his plate and the cheese became what looked like a science experiment. I will say the staff was friendly, although we had to send out a search and rescue party to find our waitress so we could get out of there. I haven't done a review before, but when I saw that two people had given a good review in the past, I felt I should share my experience.

I am a regular customer at Cancun.

They make their food fresh and it is exceptional!

I take family and friends here each chance I get.

I would recomend this restaurant to anyone who loves good Mexican food.

We were looking for a place for Mexican food not being thrilled with a number of the franchise places and having just been to some great local places in Henderson, NV. The restaurant is very nice inside but no feast for the eyes. But if you are looking for food then you have a feast. We had a combination plate to share and my bride ordered her classic cheese enchilada on the side. She was very happy - not as good as her last one in NV but the restaurant has the "we are coming here again" seal of approval. Ole'

while visiting our son who relocated to boise the question came up whats for dinner? my son said he missed the mexican food restraunts in arizona. while driving around this unfimiliar city we spotted this sign saying cancun mexican food ande decided to give it a try. we ordered different items off their menu and found this restraunt to be one of the best mexican food restraunts we ever ate at. and arizona has one on practically every corner it seems and we like the food. so if you are hungry for a excellent mexican style meal deffinately give them a try if you live or are just visiting boise it was worth it.
