Provided by Doctor.comI was a patient of Dr. Weitemier for 15 years. I had some unusual illnesses, one that was an auto-immune disease. The treatment provided by Dr. Weitemier, the referrals to other doctors to help answer the question of what I had was heralded by the Mayo Clinic doctors in Rochester, MN. I was sent there by a team of doctors in Boise (Weitemier heading this effort) to determine if what one doctor thought I had was correct. The diagnosis that Dr. Lloyd suggested was correct. Mayo Clinic doctors don't usually talk about other doctors. I was specifically told by the coordinator of my care at the Clinic that the procedures and treatment by Dr. Weitemier was excellent; the order of doctor referrals, the tests done, and the procedures done in the hospital before I came to the clinic were exactly what they would have done. Dr. Weitemier is a gem and Boise is lucky to have him.

Provided by Doctor.comHe remembers everything about you, takes the time to talk to you and if you happen to forget to ask a question, no problem because he will tell you things you didn't even ask. He is very proactive and is not only concerned about what you went in to see him about but asks about other issues you may be experiencing or will expect to experience. His staff is always professional and I've never had to sit in his waiting room for what seems like eternity. He respects your time and your money and it...

Provided by YP.comDr. Weitemier was supposed to give me a general physical years ago. You know, the cough test, the prostate exam, and other general stuff. Long story short, he didn't do the cough test; instead he pressed on my zipped up pants and felt for a hernia (I suppose). Whatever he was doing it was completely ineffective. And he didn't give me a prostate exam. Note I was almost 40 years old and hadn't had a yearly exam in probably 25 years. In my opinion, he didn't follow standard accepted practice at all. 3 and a half years ago I went to Eric Jacobsen, M.D. and he completed a full full exam. He also performed cholesterol tests, which didn't turn out to be optimal at all. Let's hear it for Crestor. Dr. Weitemier's office was good enough to charge me the full amount for the "wellness check" though, and it's not covered by insurance. I should have sent him a thank you note for that kind gesture following the partial evaluation.
Sincerely,
Dan
