Idaho Foot & Ankle/Dr. Jones are the BEST!

I started having trouble with my feet approximately 14 years ago and met Dr. Stewart Jones at that time. He treated me for stress fractures to my left foot. I was impressed with him and his office staff back then, and returned this last year because I fractured the 5th metatarsal (again on my left foot). At the conclusion of treatment for that, he fixed the big toenails on both feet which had been ingrown for years and years. Then just last week, I took a spill and injured my left foot yet again! His staff got me quickly worked into his schedule. In my experience, every time I have been treated at Idaho Foot and Ankle, I have been treated with respect and kindness. Dr. Jones is very personable, caring, warm, compassionate, and a very knowledgeable, competent doctor. I always feel at ease and as though I'm in good hands when I've required treatment for my feet there. He takes extra time and effort to answer all your questions and thoroughly explains things so that they're understandable to the average person, rather than speaking "Doctor-ese" as some specialists tend to do. Going anywhere else for my podiatric needs is something I would never consider. They have also worked with my insurance and payment arrangements, too, and are very reasonable in that aspect. I would highly recomment Idaho Foot & Ankle and Dr. Stewart Jones to anyone who is in need of help with their feet!

Highly recommended for problem toenail removal

After years of dealing with toenail fungus which caused a painful ingrown toenail on my left big toe over the past few months, I finally decided to do something about it. I contacted Idaho Foot/Ankle Associates and made an appointment with Dr. Kerry Anderson.I was pretty sure Dr. Anderson was going to suggest removal of the entire toenail and I was right. Having seen a similar procedure performed on a friend many years ago, I fully expected an unpleasant experience. With Dr. Anderson, it was completely different. He started by applying some stuff to make my toe very cold, to prevent me from feeling two anesthetic injections into my toe. Pain level: 1 out of 10. I barely felt the shots. After waiting about 10 minutes for the anesthetic to take effect, Dr. Anderson came back and removed the offending toenail, which took a minute or two. (No, I didn't watch.) Pain level: 0 out of 10. I could not believe there was NO PAIN,... ZERO. It just felt like he was wiggling my big toe. It took a couple more minutes to bandage up my toe and I was done. The front desk accepted my medical insurance, I paid my co-pay and I was out of there in less than an hour. The anesthetic wore off 2 hours later and my toe was a little sore but I just sat down and elevated my foot and it went away. 24 hours later I was up and about running errands with no discomfort to speak of. It will take a while to heal but I don't expect any problem at this point.I was so impressed with my experience with Dr. Anderson that I felt compelled to write this review. His experience and expertise easily solved my problem and I wouldn't hesitate in recommending him for this procedure.

Not Recommended:Idaho Foot and Ankle Account Billing Services CBI809 N Liberty Box 3232 Box 1219Boise, ID 83704 Nampa, ID 83653 Nampa, ID 83635I have received your billing that Stewart O. Jones sent to collections. You received a few hundred dollars from my insurance companies and you want $26.68 from me that I have contested. I presume you are going to report an unpaid bill to the credit bureaus as well; to which I object.I have asked to talk to Mr. Jones about this matter and have been refused.I understood that you agreed to accept my insurance payment levels as your payment. This is the way it went for a year or two.You made some shoe inserts for me and, after quite an ordeal of non-fitting shoes, found a pair that are barely acceptable (not really big enough for the job). You billed these shoes as off-the-shelf when in fact they have to be specially made to make the inserts fit correctly. You charged about 4 times what comparable off-the-shelf shoes retail for. There was never an indication from you the shoes were not covered by insurance; If I had known, I could have picked out a shoe from a store shelf that I really liked, at a much lower cost than $67 per shoe. I have not seen shoes sold by the “ones” before. $134 a pair – my grandson pays less for Nikes.I thought if a doctor accepted an insurance company’s adjusted maximum rates that asking for more might constitute fraud. I am checking with my insurance companies (2), and a couple of regulatory agencies, at this time. You sent a letter dated Sept. 6 giving 10 days to pay $26.68; I received a letter Sept. 7 from Account Billing Services with 30 days to pay $36.69. 13 days later, Sept. 20 (Rec. 9/24/12), I received a 30 day demand from Collection Bureau Inc. to pay $36.68. This is collusion - with nothing in mind but to get monies not owed with illegal premature demands. All parties are notified the entire amount is disputed. If credit report companies are notified and I prevail in this matter, you will be subject to legal action. I want this matter to go to court now, not later; unless you care to adjust the account.Regards,Jack Durham
