Provided by YP.comManagement problem... I've gone in there (and shot) off and on over the years (much more "off" than "on" for the following, obvious reasons), and have seen a continual deterioration in customer service and cleanliness of the range. The one employee who was worth a damn was the assistant manager (named Erin), who they terminated because she "made too much money" (as one employee told me), and yet they have (or had, as I haven't seen him in a while) an employee with a mohawk, who was rude as hell to customers. All the problems in that place point to a severe management problem, but I don't know if it's Ryan's fault (the store manager), or if it's the management/ownership's (down in Utah) fault (probably a bit of both), but that place is a mess, in so many ways. Also, its hours of operation are terrible (try going by there in the evening, or on any Sunday). It really needs to be closed down and replaced by a better outfit.
I've posted this review on a couple of other sites as well, because I feel it's important to get the word out (and maybe the owners will implement some changes).

Provided by YP.comTerrible!!!! I ordered a "new" Ruger SR1911 Custom that was supposed to be smithed and tuned with $500 worth of work. The sight was put on visible crooked and the trigger had more slack the any of my stock 1911's. Worse, the gun have dent in the frame, severe barrel wear and the trigger was so loose it registers a different weight with each trigger pull. I paid over $1300 for this!!!!
I contacted them and they offered me $60 for my trouble or I could send it back to have them "try again". When it comes to firearms, perhaps they should learn how to do it right and quit trying. DANGEROUS and IRRESPONSIBLE!
DO NOT ORDER FOR THESE GUY OR YOU WILL BE SORRY!

Provided by YP.comI ordered and paid for a pistol. The shipping date came and went. They couldn't tell me if they had received the pistol. When I called, they would put me on hold until I realized that they were not coming back. Impact guns doesn't appear to have any functional management or customer service for post sales business. Weeks later I received the order. I will not buy anything there again. I would rather shop where the shop wants to please customers.

Provided by YP.comI purchased a Benelli Super black eagle. They shipped it right away. The gun looked like a factory second, or a used shotgun. The barrel was scuffed so bad, bare metel is showing. ding in the chamber housing. The case looks like it was dragged behind a car for a few miles. I would not recomend buying online with this company. I think they sell used or factory second equipment! Brought it to the attention of the customer service. He offered me 4.5% off a new gun if I wanted another one? What! So I have 2 guns that looked used for the price of a new one! That was his only solution.

Provided by YP.comI'm new to the gun world, came in with a bunch of questions, they helped me out a ton, and let me look at a lot of guns, even though I told them I wouldn't be buying that day. I look young so i've been treated bad by gun salesmen before. Not here. When I came back a few weeks later, they remembered my name and I bought the gun I had been looking at. Free 30 day range pass with a purchase. Don't know about the other impact guns stores but I was treated like a friend at the Boise store. I will always buy from them now. Plus they are way cheaper than Cabelas

Provided by YP.comI just bought a savage model 12 from them today. They were polite on the phone when I called them to see if it was in stock, as well as very friendly when I came in to pick up the rifle. Thanks guys!

Provided by YP.comI'm a veteran, I'm a very active shooter both recreationally and professionally, I will NEVER go back to Impact Guns as long as I live. I can't even express the complete lack of customer service that exists in this place. Save your money and drive out to the desert. At least the prairie dogs won't give you attitude.

Provided by YP.comThis is the place I typically go to try out new weapons or use their in-door range. Every time I have been in the store, the associates have all been very helpful, but not pushy. This is something I appreciate as I do not enjoy getting "preached at" when I am trying to gather information for a future purchase. My wife and I are also set to take a class from this site and we are both looking forward to that experience too. Overall, I plan on using this provider to the fullest extent.

Provided by YP.comI understand this place has a bad rap on here, but I've been in several times to buy guns, transfer FFL licenses as well as shoot and I've never encountered any of the issues people have complained about. All the staff I dealt with were friendly and knowledgable, none of the stereotypical gun store attitude or political BS was encountered. Their online store is great and I've had very good service from the folks down in Utah. The indoor range is a little cramped but serviceable, I do all my serious shooting outdoors anyhow but for sighting in or popping off a few rounds I think it's just fine. Maybe there's been a change in management, maybe I got lucky, but until I experience otherwise I'd definitely recommend these guys.

Provided by YPmobileCustomer service problems coming from management more than anyone else. If you are willing to spend money in a place where people act like they are paying you to shop there and act as if you are a bother then this is the place for you.

Weird store. Walked around for at least 10 minutes (with my wife) and no one would even look at us! Walked out in disgust, went to Sportsman's Warehouse and bought a new gun from someone who appreciated my business. I will never go back!

Provided by YP.comNormally I would try to describe my experience accurately. However, in this case, my experience at their shooting range was so bad it was surreal. Staff honesty, staff accuracy, staff in-your-face attitude, staff communication, staff professionalism, etc. All were so bad it's really not worth detailing. Go someplace else. Or open your own shooting range next door. You won't have any competition.

Provided by YP.comImpactguns.com has a great selection. I had a firearm shipped down to my local FFL. The employees I talked to on the phone were all very polite and professional, and already had the FFL dealer's information in their computer; I didn't even have to send them up the info. The firearm arrived quickly and as described. I would do business with Impact again.

I called them prior to making a purchase, the time they took with me to make sure I was satisfied was truly refreshing. Eric is a courteous and professional employee that should go far in the company. After the sale, I again called them back just to calm some concerns, he took the time necessary to reassure me. All the while reminding me that if I was not 100% satisfied, they would be happy to refund my money without question. Now I'm a committed customer and will be going back to them for my firearm needs.
