Engaged in production of natural gas and oil deposits, Petroglyph Energy is a subsidiary of Intermountain Industries, a holding company. Intermountain Industries was incorporated in 1977 as a result of a reorganization of Intermountain Gas Company. In addition to Petroglyph Energy, Intermountain Industries operating companies include Intermountain Gas Company, III Exploration Company and InterWest Capital. Intermountain Gas Company is one of the only distributors of natural gas in southern Idaho. Intermountain Gas was incorporated in 1950 and began operations in 1956. III Exploration Company is engaged in the production of natural gas and oil deposits. InterWest Capital is the company s investment arm. Intermountain Industries, along with Petroglyph Energy, maintains its headquarters in Boise, Idaho.
