Founded in 1974, Summerwind Elementary School has an enrollment of more than 400 students in kindergarten through grade five. The school s curriculum includes English, math, science, social studies and language arts. Its citizenship program honors students who represents weekly character trait understudy. Summerwind Elementary School has a library that stocks a variety of storybooks, picture dictionaries, puzzles, and fiction and nonfiction books. The school is governed by Joint School District 2, which also operates various elementary, middle and high schools. The school serves students in pre-kindergarten through grade 12.
