Provided by YP.comI've gone to Whimsy for over 3 years now. I've had Sharon and Amanda do my high lights at different times. They are both wonderful women and great stylists! I highly recommend giving this quaint little business a try, you won't be disappointed!

Provided by YP.comWhimsy was recommended by one of their vendors. I was surprised to get a an appointment right away. I hadn't had a hair cut in several months and my hair had gotten quite long. I was having a hard time finding a stylist I liked, one who gave me the cut I wanted or didn't argue with me. But I explained to Tasha what I wanted, and she gave me just about the best hair cut I've ever gotten. I can't thank her enough and I will definitely be back, I've found my new stylist.

Provided by YP.comok. If you know me, you know my hair.
Sharon just did her Sharon magic on it and it is so amazing, you will notice.
My curls are curlier, softer, I do not have to walk into a room and apologize for how much room it is taking up.
mmmmmmmmmm ♥ ♥ ♥

I have difficult, wild-woman hair. Hair dressers press their faces to the window when I walk by screaming, "I can help you!" Many of them in my past have had a "current-fashion-doo-of the week" they have tried to impose upon my head. It is not like that a Whimsy. Sharon does magic! She snips and shapes my hair to match my face and my life. She makes me look like me! As long as Sharon's doing doos, I'm not going anywhere else.

I've been going to Sharon for years, and she always does a fantastic job! She listens to you, and really cares about what you want for your head. She's a great listener, fun to talk to, and is very easy on the eyes. I highly recommend Sharon or any of the stylists at Whimsy A Salon!

I go to Gigi for my hair, and she has always done exactly what I ask and more. I used to have really really short hair, and she helped me through the process of growing it out without it looking too awful. Plus, she's a great person, and its always good to have a great person to style your hair. I will keep going to her for as long as I live in the area, and continue to be pleased with all of my various styles and cuts.

I made an appointment with Sharon last week for cut & foil. I'm new to the area & was very nervous about a new stylist. My hair is VERY curly so I've had some bad experiences. Even veteran stylists cut it too short the first time. The salon was all decked out in christmas lights, even a tree & christmas music playing! Everyone was cheerful & I was greeted with smiles & offered something to drink while I waited. I watched Sharon finish a woman's hair. I was a bit worried as her hair was very straight. Could Sharon handle my curls? I only had to wait 5 minutes before I would find out. Sharon talked with me for a long time about the cut I wanted as well as the color I was after (accenting my already natural reds). She also informed me that her own hair was naturally curly so she was familiar with the challenges of my type of hair. I left with a great haircut that wasn't too short & my red highlights were awesome! All for only $70! I made another appointment before I left!

I've been going to Sharon at Whimsy for several years. She listens to me about my hair & has always been helpful in creating a new style or maintaining my current style. We've changed my color several times over the course of the years. Always with great results & with my hair left in wonderful, shining condition. She is always accomodating to my schedule and gets me in when I need to be there. She even came in on a Sunday when I had to leave town on a family emergency! Sharon has been doing hair for years. She is fun, talented & her prices are VERY reasonable. ($15 for a haircut!) I've recommended her to everyone I know & I will continue to do so. If you're looking for a great stylist with over 15 years in the business, someone who is down to earth, a 'real' person, someone who is honest with you, please call her ..... you'll forget all about your current situation & fall in love with your hair again!

Provided by YP.comI called Whimsy because they are close to St. Luke's, where I work as a nurse & I walk by their little red house every morning. I had a friend color my hair thinking I would save some money & ended up a horrible mess! Three different colors, one of which was kind of greenish! Lukily I got Sharon on the phone when I called. Not only is she the owner of Whimsy but she has over 20 years of experience and specializes in corrective hair color. She is very confident and knowlegeable about her profession. She took her time in explaining my options as well as the potential cost & walked me through the process, step by step. It was a facinating process & I could tell that Sharon really loves her work! I left with hair that was not only a better color & in better condition than I had hoped for but with a really good feeling that I can't explain! Like I made a new friend! Sharon truly cares for her clients & is a genuine, unpretentious person! I scheduled another appointment in 6 weeks for the first time ever! I love my new stylist & I have to admit, the cost wasn't all that bad either! I'll recommend Sharon to everyone, she's fabulous!

Provided by YP.comI went into Whimsy because I drive past the "first time 50% off" sign everday. I made an appointment with GiGi (who luckily works evenings and weekends- I promised her I'd throw that in!) to have my hair colored. I'm very phobic about hair stylists because I have long hair that took me forever to grow out and it seems like people really want to cut more than I tell them to. I told this to GiGi before we even started and she said she would be really conservative. She mixed different conditioners into my color and explained everything she was doing like she was teaching a class, which reassured me that she knew what she was doing. My highlights were perfect and, after the color, she conditioned my hair with some kind of fiber-type product that seemed to seal the split ends. She barely trimmed my hair ("reshaping" was what she called it), proving she really listens to what a person wants.
I loved it and I will definitely be back!
For those of you reading this review, please note that it is dated in 2008. The 50% off first time client special that is mentioned is no longer available. We do have coupons listed on YP, however, that I encourage you to print out and use!

Provided by YP.comI found Whimsy through the Yellow Pages. What I didn't know was that all new clients got half off their first visit! I had Sharon high light my hair with 3 different colors. I like my color to look natural and blended and she did a phenomenal job! I left with my hair in better condition than when I came in the door! For the first time in my life...I booked for my next appointment in 6 weeks! Kudos to Whimsy Salon and Sharon!
