Been an organic farm since 1974, Star Route Farms has been using various production and post-harvest technologies, such as precision planters and hydrocooling equipment. Based in Bolinas, Calif., it is one of the oldest continuously certified organic growers in California. Farming 40 acres in Bolinas, the farm grows an array of crops, including mesclun raffine mix, braising mix, cut lettuce mix, Mediterranean cucumbers, red/gold/chiogga beets, chard, red, green, gold and pink, collards, artichokes, blue lake/yellow wax/Romano beans and broccoli, to name a few.
