Southern Baptist University, located in Bolivar, Mo., is a four-year liberal arts university with a Baptist heritage. Founded in 1878, it enrolls more than 3,600 students and offers six academic divisions, including its college of business and computer science, The Courts Redford College of Theology and Ministry, Lewis E. Schollian College of Education and Social Sciences and St. John's College of Nursing and Health Sciences. It offers more than 40 academic areas of study, including four graduate degrees, and offers majors, such as anthropology, art, biology, business administration, chemistry, communication and theater, computer information science, economics and education. Additionally, it provides majors, such as English, geology, history, mathematics, music, politics and government, psychology and sociology. Southern Baptist University offers various sports, including golf, wrestling, skiing, basketball, volleyball and softball.
