Provided by YP.comI had a great experience with the after hours emergency center. They listened to me, treated my dog appropriately, and were so knowledgeable and professional. I hate having to go to the er in the middle of the night but going there I had complete confidence in them.

Provided by YP.comWe were looking for a new vet in the area and had a horrible experience with Dr Angela Laberto! I worked for a vet for 15 years and it is a shame that a place like this hires such uneducated vets with no personality. Very disappointed after we were told she was going to walk her to try and get a urine sample and she didn't come back into the room for 20 minutes with our dog. Comes to find she supposedly did the exam in another room? Our poor dog came back panting and all red in the face? After charging us 470 dollars and not being able to diagnose her she referred us to Piper Memorial Hospital! I am happy to say Thank God our baby is okay and just pulled muscle. Too bad Dr Laberto couldn't diagnosis her pulled muscle!

Provided by YP.comWe had adopted a cat from a friend, and was told the cat had skin allergies. Our friend used Bolton veterinary hospital. We took the cat there a few times, as she would suddenly go from calm to clawing herself in a fit of discomfort. Her body was dirty and mangled from the waist down. The treatments did little for her, and it turned out that she actually had mammary cancer and had to be put down. They didn't look beyond the skin irritation.
A few years later, I brought my Maine Coon in because he became lethargic, unable to walk, and refused to eat or drink. He also tried to urinate in the kitchen corner. They were the closest open clinic on Saturday night, so I went. He had a urinary blockage, and they wouldn't touch him unless I produced at least five of the 800 dollars they said it would cost to unblock his tract. I got a loan from a friend, and they proceeded to treat him. Then for the remaining balance, they had me post date checks. Then withdrew before the agreed date..they suck

Provided by YPmobileMy dog has Lyme. Same indications always. He's had it three times. The vet insisted on an xray($400) - gee nothing broken! Sent me home with anti inflamitory. Three days later he couldn't walk. I demanded doxy. In two days he was fine. Two months later, he has Lyme again(not unheard of in CT) again she is demanding I bring him in for an xray. The doxy is $40.... Gee wonder why I have to go in. Looking for a new vet! I have four dogs and three horses . I know a bit about animal sickness. Do not use this vet. They do not consider your opinion at all!

Provided by YP.comOur elderly dog became ill in the wee morning hours. We brought him in and were amazed to see 3 technicians come out to our minivan to bring him in on a stretcher. He was quickly hooked up to an IV and had xrays. Once we received the diagnosis and knew he had to be euthanized, we were moved to a private room where our children were able to spend some time with him and say their good byes. I thought the compassion of the technicians and the Doctor and the care we received were amazing.

Provided by YP.comI am a medical professional, so I know that patients (and presumably pet owners) don't know everything, but was still amazed at how the vet blew us off. On a Sunday my regular veterinarian was closed and my cat began vomiting. He has a history of pancreatitis/triaditis with the same symptoms, which I told the veterinarian, along with showing her previous labs. She pronounced him sick with "gastroenteritis" and said, "we could do bloodwork if you really want". Feeling chastened, I took my cat home. Guess what? Two days later he was in the ICU (in Windsor) with pancreatitis and transaminases 10x normal. Pretty bitter, would not return. I'll drive to Windsor or West Hartford if our own vet is not available.

Provided by YPmobileI brought my cat for an emergency sickness, when I got home from work it was acting a little wierd so I brought it in to bolton vet. when I show up with my emergency visit, they make me sit for over an hour while dogs n others get their regular check ups and shots...im told my cat will be fine and they would keep him overnight and call me the next day.. never got a phone call so I call them... they say hes doing fine but want to keep him another day...again no call, so I call them at 3pm when I almost got out of work. again they say hes doing fine and I can come get em.. 2 hrs later I get a call saying hes dead... and I see the invoice and recipt for the charges.. they only gave him meds when he was dead to try n revive him and are charging me 500 dollars... dont bring anything you love to this place.
