I tried this place on a whim, because I live close, and when I called, I spoke to a very nice lady. So yes, maybe some of the staff are helpful. But when I actually stepped into the place, the jeweler who greeted me and "helped" me was incredibly arrogant and dismissive. He started to explain the specifics about my issue (a loose stone in a ring), and when I tried to ask a question in order to clarify a point, he bowled right over me and made me feel stupid for having this type and shape of stone in the first place. When I interrupted a second time to clarify something, he thrust my ring at me, told me that I clearly don't understand and therefore cannot be helped, and walked away. There are plenty of jewelers in this area. I will not be visiting B Franklin again, because frankly, I don't mind driving a little further to avoid people who ruin my day for daring to ask a question.

This store is beautiful and I own many pieces of jewelry from them all of which I love. The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. The selections are unlike any other. I would definitely recommend this shop to anyone looking to buy or repair jewelry.

I’m sorry that jbill had a bad experience in my store. But I would like to respond to his letter. What Bill failed to mention is that he had the ring repair prayer to bring it to our store. The old repair on his gold ring was soldered with lead. Lead is a contaminate to gold. It will cause the gold to become brittle and prevents the use of a torch for further repairs with gold. The lead flows at a much lower temperature approximately 200 degrees were gold solder flows at 1300 degrees. If jbill was interested in having his ring for a life time of wear then he should look to get a quality repair not the cheapest repair. That has now made the ring un wearable. We had suggested that the shank that had been contaminated be replaced with a new shank giving many more years of wear. The less expansive repair of just soldering the shank back was $50 dollars because a lazar would have to be used to fuse the metal back together with little to no heat. To avoid the problem stated before you can’

I have been getting jewelry from this place since I was a child and have always thought the pricing was high but the friendliness of the staff made up for it. Now I am 26 years old and brought a ring that I bought in there that I have had since I was 12 years old. I have had this ring resized at this place every time it needed to be resized. I brought it in there on November 11th 2009 because the gold band cracked on the bottom. I asked them how much it would cost to just solder the two pieces of gold back together and they told me that they would have to replace the whole bottom half for a whopping $150 dollars. Then when I told them that I did not want that, that I just wanted them to solder the two pieces together the lady told me that it would cost me $50 dollars to do that. I would think that as a loyal customer and in this economic crisis that this company would find a way to be a little bit more reasonable and fix it for cheaper than that. I have decided not to shop at this stor
