I'm sorry that the other reviewer had a bad experience, but mine has been nothing but positive with Dr. McCracken. My wait times have always been minimal compared to other doctors, the staff is friendly, and Dr. McCracken has never seemed hurried and always makes sure all my questions are answered.



He seems more interested in the root cause of a problem rather than prescribing meds. He is also open to alternative treatments and I get the impression that he has an open mind to "non-traditional" medical treatments. If you want someone that will write a prescription "no questions asked", this is not the doctor for you.

This practice is by far the worst practice in Boone NC...if you are looking for a doctor and you are reading reviews, please consider this review...Dr McCracken is young 36 yo and with limited knowledge and his staff is abrupt and sometimes rude. Everytime I needed prescription refills, I had to make a doctors visit. Finally, Dr McCracken told me that he wouldnt manage my presciptions any longer but would continue to be my physician...are you kidding me? Never will talk to you on the phone, ever...please do not go to this doctor...there are plenty other DRs in Boone that will treat you as a patient, and treat you decent.
