This shop has a great selection of fabrics and the shop is quaint and charming. The prices on fabrics is high compared to other quilt shops carrying the same fabrics. What's worse is how rude the owner is! I used to drive over 30 miles just to shop there, but now I won't even go in the shop.



Beware of her BOM program. I participated thinking the blocks we were making could be used to construct a finished project. Nope! they were just a bunch of blocks with no final design in mind. When I asked when we would be given the final pattern, she practically snarled at me that there was NO final pattern. So why were we making these blocks???



The final straw was having a relative die on the day I was supposed to turn in my block. I asked if I could come the next day due to the funeral, and was told no, I would have to pay the $5 charge for missing THE day. I was told I should have come on Saturday for the prior class. Well...that would have been rather hard since my mother in law didn't die until Saturday afternoon, so I had no idea I would have to attend a funeral the next week. It just all left a terribly bad taste. I was weary with the owner's attitude, and this was just the final straw.



I will say that most of the other ladies working there were especially nice and very helpful. It's a different place when the owner is out of town at a quilt show. People are happy and smiling and eager to help you. I have since found many other shops are are eager for my business in Evansville and in Bowling Green as well as tons of online shops that sell fabric for good prices. They are all quite friendly, helpful and accomodating. This is exactly why so many local quilt shops are going out of business today; a lack of customer service and kindness.
