This is absolutely the worst, most poorly run business I have ever had the displeasure of coming into contact with and no one could pay me enough money to leave my dog at this place.

This "family owned and operated" business is far from respectable. The owner and her family do not even live in Oregon, so the website and all of their information is extremely misleading.

Make sure to read the fine print on the paperwork you sign, because you are releasing Green Acres from any responsibility whatsoever when an incident happens and TRUST ME, incidents happen frequently here. Dog fights, illnesses, escapes are a regular thing here. You are also agreeing to foot the bill on any medical expenses incurred and to pay the final boarding bill NO MATTER WHAT or your dog will be held at the kennel, incurring more boarding charges until you pay. There is no getting around it. Don't expect to be able to talk to the owner about any issues because she will avoid you like the plague while instructing the staff to get your money no matter what.

Your dog might be boarded in an area where it won't have access to a place to eliminate overnight (from 4pm when they are put up for the night until 7:30 am when they are let out.) When they give you the tour, they tell you that your dog will be boarded in the kennel building with access to an outdoor, concrete area to eliminate in, but on busy weekends and holidays, they just cram the dogs into makeshift chain link "kennels" in the office building with nothing but rusty wires and fencing separating them from other aggressive dogs. (They have no behavioral assessment, so allow any dogs in regardless of their temperament... one of the many reasons why dog fights happen frequently.)

They have no cap of the amount of dogs they allow to attend and only have a few staff members to supervise the dogs. So expect your dog to be milling around with 30-40 (sometimes far more) unpredictable dogs with little to no supervision. When they are supervised, the go-to method of behavioral corrections include yelling, spraying in the face with water hoses and spray bottles and extended "time-outs."

Oh yeah, and that "5 acre field with spring fed ponds" is also the dumping ground for all the feces that is removed from the property. So you can count on that spring fed pond being a petri dish full of diseases from the run off.

Please do yourself a favor and look elsewhere for dog boarding. This place looks nice at first glance because of the misleading information and pictures on the website and because of the lies you are told when you take a tour, but honestly this place needs to be shut down. Most of the good reviews you read here are from regular customers who got a free day of daycare because they brought in a printed copy of their positive yelp or google review. What a joke.

Do your yourself a favor and avoid this place. Learn from our mistake. Should have known from the run down appearance outside, but trusted them when they said the kennels were warm and safe and secure. We took our dog here over Thanksgiving. When we picked her up, I noticed a cut on her leg. I mentioned to the staff that she was anxious and asked what happened. They said they had no idea what happened, are they not watching the dogs? When I got home I noticed she had five cuts on her leg. She is now bruised and in pain and can barely lay down. We wanted an explanation of what happened, but the manager or anyone who could help was conveniently out of town. I had to call back first thing Monday morning and was basically told a contract was signed and the dog must be anxious and it's not their fault. The manager basically said that's the risk you take and that we signed a contract and they won't do anything and it's just too bad. If you are going to take your dog to a boarding kennel you want them to actually care about your animal. This place has no accountability and an obviously untrained staff. They were actually defensive that we were curious what happened. Please don't give this place your business.

In my opinion the service at Green Acres is terrible. Upon picking my dog up they were unable to locate his bed. My wife and I gave them a couple days to get it back and then requested a $45 refund from our over $100 total bill in order to replace his bed. Seemed like a fair and reasonable way to solve the problem to me. After all, it's only the cost of a small dog bed. This was apparently against their policy. I pointed out that we did not know what sort of environment the bed was now living in, being that it was taken to someone else's home and so at the very least we required it be professionally laundered. Two weeks later we have received the bed which in both mine and my wife's opinion has not been laundered at all. In fact, there is a lot of hair in it that was not prior to dropping it off and that seems to be from another dog. While it's probably safe, I think my wife and I will be tossing it out and eating the cost of a new bed and find our only resolve in never using this business again.

We took our two golden retrievers here last year and when we went to pick them up they were smiling. I wasn't sure if they wanted to stay longer. At any rate we were very pleased with the care of our two best companions and are boarding them again this year. A great place with lots of open space and lots of love!

We took our bulldog puppy Lucy to Green Acres K9 resort for a weeks stay. She loved it there. She was very comfortable with the staff and the other dogs. She was treated so well and was very happy. We will take her there anyt6ime we need to travel knowing she will receive the best care possilbe.

I made a reservation at this kennel based on the pictures on the website. The website is a complete fabrication and makes it look clean and lush. It is anything but clean. The owner said she had air conditioning in her main kennel which does not, just a fan on the floor. The conditions were filthy, muddy, lots of waste in kennels. The dogs boarded looked anxious and scared and some ill. When I visited the lady that showed me the kennels, she said they just had a cold go through the kennel weeks before and many dogs got very sick. This kennel also has temporary kennels outside under a shed and tarp with dirt and mud for the dogs which cannot be cleaned between dogs waste being boarded that will contaminate the ground. If you want to protect your dog from getting sick or a parasite steer clear of this one.
