Three weeks was more than we could take. The place was dirty - moldy shower, toilet never cleaned by housekeeping, shower curtain was black with dirt. the carpet was never vacuumed well, especially in those tight spots where dirt loves to accumulate. The toilet lid was broken, sink and shower did not drain right, door was hard to shut and lock, phones do not receive incoming calls, and local calling is very limited. Wired for wi-fi, but no wi-fi offered. Red shag carpet.and old furnishings. Bad lighting. Appliances barely worked, and the fridge froze everything and leaked constantly. We were charged premium room prices and found out no one was paying equal on commensurate rates. They also tried kicking people out for the sake of potential customers paying their price gouging rates during race week. These rooms are not worth the $140-$160 a night they wanted to charge for race week. No one mans the counter, so guests have to wait to be heard or seen. Housekeeping is poor. Owner is rude and the husband seemed friendly with all his joking until he began telling racist jokes after some African Americans came to stay for an extended period. The place is not up to electrical code, inside and out. And they are trying to sell the business with little luck, so customers are being overcharged, especially when they have little business.
