The East Boston Early Education Center provides a variety of literacy-based programs for students in pre-kindergarten through grade one. With a staff of more than 35 people, the center offers classes in math, science and language arts. It provides English as a Second Language and supplemental education services. The East Boston Early Education Center s classroom libraries have over 500 books. The center is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children. In addition, its recreational programs include cooking activities, dramatic playa, and arts and crafts. The East Boston Early Education Center is governed by Boston Public Schools, which manages several elementary, middle, high and adult schools.
