Coming to the city for a show from out of state, I was looking for a nice Mexican restaurant for dinner. After seeing the menu online, I tried to book a table for a Saturday night, but one was not available.
On the drive in that afternoon, we called just to see how long a wait it would be, and were able to book a table for 7:30, exactly what I had tried to do online three days previously. Why have the online booking function if it doesn't work?
We arrived 15 minutes late - no problem! There were several empty tables - we appeared to be the only diners. We were handed one-page menus that listed the simplest items from the online menu: some appetizers, salads, sandwiches, etc. Typical bar food, which is fine, but from their website, you get a very different impression.
We ordered two alcohol drinks and two non alcohol drinks, nachos with a few bits of steak on top - delicious but a little pricey for an app, a burger, two BLTs and fish tacos, all with fries (good, not great). The food was ok - a step above the usual, but not especially noteworthy.
There were no desserts or coffee offered.
The bill? $108.35; with a tip, close to $125! To eat ok sandwiches in a bar!
Compared to the website, this is a classic case of bait and switch. And the reality, at this price, is not worth it. Sorry, I won't be back.
