Provided by YP.comthe store everyone here is talking about is the one at 400 Boylston. The owner is weird and things are done 'under the table there'. I bought shoes there before and I got a hand-written receipt... which makes you wonder considering it should be a nice store.
My complaint however is from this morning- at the 711 Boylston street. The larger official Tannery store- I went in with Sorel boots, trying to exchange them for a size bigger, saying I got them as a gift. Apparently the store has no way of telling if something was purchased from them unless you show a bank statement or receipt. So I was told that I cannot exchange without proof of purchase from The Tannery even though I did not purchase it myself.
Ok. If those are the rules it's fine. But the short, rude, and dismissive attitude in which this was said to me was unacceptable. I looked over and the price of the boots wasn't bad and I thought of maybe purchasing a different color then selling the ones I got on line... but the girl with black hair and those large geek-style vision glasses everyone is trying to pull off now was so rude that I left.
I feel that stores in the Copley area, that look 'high-class' and fancy and sell only nice shoes Ugs, Toms, Sorel, and up should give service like a Coach store and others that charge in the $200-300 range per item.
I prefer DSW anyway!
