Teen Issue Research Essay
“Habib rolls off of me. Then I understand: I was the person crying” (121). In the horrendous novel Sold by Patricia McCormick, reader follows a young children from an abandoned tribe of people is sold into prostitution, and meets a demise of continued dirty bad acts. Though this is a novel of fiction, many underage children around the world are introduced, sold, forced, or take part in prostitution. Children out there in prostitution believe that they are forgotten, and alone, but they do not know that there are abunch of independent people out there today planning, searching and fighting for children in dirty sinful prostitution. Many organizations, considering ECPAT Int., are helping children in grateful need, but have to face a weakness of many governments that host these problems only turn a blind eye, and as us, the Americans, are not giving aid to them.
Prostitution of young individuals is seen as a horrendous act all across the face of the Earth, yet most acts of Child Prostitution is happening because most government agents, including police men and inspectors, turn a blind eye, causing the Pimps to continue on with their dirty deed. “[The Pimps] may bribe officials so the crime may not be reported or persecuted.” (50 Child Labor Today). Officials, like officers, will take bribes, and give the Pimps a chance to work in the shadows. This may be a bittersweet victory for the Pimps, as they is a good lead for the Organization that combats the Child Prostitution force and shuts them down. “[Insert quote here]” (pg.). Anti Prostitution Organizers see how far the length these Prostitutions to hide these children and continue in with the dirty deed for the fame, money, or other dirty deeds. For the Pimps, they are going at many lengths to keep these girls in hiding, and in order to protects and save these girls, we must too, go many lengths to save children in prostitution.
Some types are prostitution is not because they are sold or are captured, but because it is for her own free will, mostly because they are in it for the money and a steady job. “ Many girls in America chooses Prostitution as there job because of money, though many see the end of this profession as death, as Prostitutes are usually not cared for by the customers” (Source: Florence Hodan). You can see that girls are usually working on the streets for the money, but most of the girls do not have a strong bond with community and home and a naturally driven to prostitution.” I paid for her
