I worked here for a few years between 2012 and 2016. I can assure you that there's no one smoking where the dogs play, the staff cares intensely about your pups, and that those in charge are very up on their information. I'm kind of shocked by these other reviews, but if you check out reviews elsewhere (Facebook and Google) you'll see starkly different responses from those posted here.
There are always a few exceptions of course, and once I a while someone who doesn't do well may get a job, but they usually get out of there fairly quickly if it isn't for them.
I'm a paranoid dog owner and I would trust Rhonda, Keri and Shannon any day of the week with my pup.

I took my two dogs there and left shortly thereafter WITH my dogs .It was a very unwelcoming environment. The kennels small, the price outrageous, the staff left much to be desired.

You can find much cleaner, much more resonably priced kennels all around the Boulder area. This is one to avoid like the plauge.

Rude staff, hateful arrogant ditzy owner, so overpriced it's not even funny, small kennels, really horrible excuse for a kennel and a horrile excuse for anykind of "caregiver".Shameful to say the least!

You are the most horrible, stinky, shithole excuse of a "kennel" ever seen.You and your staff are snotty and hateful and are a utter rip off.Too bad you don't have enough sense to be ashamed of yourself you pigs.

Cottonwood Kennels is by far the best place in the country to board your pets. I have been a customer for the last 20 years and have never been disapointed in the services they provide. I have to travel alot and when my dogs and cat have been with them I know that they get just as much love and attention (maybe more) than I provide at home. The staff has always been considerant and caring. Thats quit a feet in this day and time. The owner, Penny is the one to contact if you require their services. She will blow you aways with her positive attitude and true love for all animals. Plus it's one of the most beautiful in the country as well.
