I do believe in love at first "site" I fell hard and fast for this beautiful little town of Boulder on my very first visit here in 1978. It was a 4 day impromptu trip at the end of an enchanting summer where I worked in a lodge in Aspen. My roommate was a recent CU grad and encouraged me to come meet some of her friends in Boulder before heading home to Atlanta to begin college at Emory University. One of the guys took me for a tour one afternoon that found us driving northbound along 75th in a Rabbit convertible with the top down. When I gazed back at the silhouette of the mountains against that clear blue Boulder sky, I just couldn't believe the beauty I sawI fell in love right then and swore that somehow I'd come back here to live.
