In Dec. of 2008 I bought a foreclosure in Boulder, CO. I spoke to Ryan Schneider of Fowler Property Management and a representative of Sherrelwood Services. I received several verbal bids from Sherrelwood Services and signed a management contract with Ryan Schneider of Fowler Property. Section 2.3 of the contract promises me fiduciary duties and accounting. Section 24.2 discloses a financial interest of Fowler Property Management in Sherrelwood services. Both businesses share the same physical facility, and occasionally the same agent and mailing address. I emailed Fowler Property Management an inspection report for the unit, complete with photographs. I then travelled to California, being billed monthly for promised upgrades such as cleaning, painting, carpet, flooring, inspections, furnace maintenance, etc. On coming back to Colorado in August of 2009 I discovered that nothing had been performed. I had paid Fowler Property Management nearly $6000 and nothing happened - no cleaning, carpet, etc. etc.I took Mr. Dan Fowler to a small claims court in June of 1013. Mr. Dan Fowler arrived to court with photoshopped photographs of the "before" and "after" of the unit - most likely borrowed from abovementioned inspection report. I arrived with photographs, affidavits and email correspondence evidence, as well as numerous reviews from tenants at Fowler Property managed units who were an absolute nightmare - in my opinion because the company charges owners for services but never renders them. Unfortunately the Judge decreed that the statute of limitations is three years and the case is out of his jurisdiction. Fowler Property Management successfully stole nearly $6000 from me. Please don't do business with them, either as an owner or a tenant.
