Very poor attention to detail and poor customer service at The Ringmaker.



I went in to get an engraving. I was told it would be $36-$72 to engrave a Zippo lighter. I wrote the message to be engraved & picked the font. Manager wrote $45 as the fee. Why $45? He made it up. I was getting "I love you John 3/8/15" engraved. Very few characters. I saw that they had a rate sheet behind the counter. I asked to see it. It was $35 according to the rate sheet. He corrected the invoice. Told me it would be at least 3 days. I said it would be great if it were ready by end of day the following day, 3/8/16 (an anniversary). I got a phone call the next day - your engraving is done. I'm delighted to have it on time for the anniversary. I go to pick it up. The engraving has the wrong date - 3/18/15 instead of 3/8/15. The current date is March 8th and they know it was for an anniversary of that day. Having it read March 18th makes the whole thing useless - it's the wrong date. I received a poor apology

This family business is wonderful. You can ask for anything and they will make it. Very helpful staff and sweet dogs to greet you.
