Established in 1860, Maternity BVM Catholic Elementary School has an enrollment of more than 250 students in pre-kindergarten through grade eight. The school offers classes in Bible studies, math, social studies, history and language arts. It also organizes classes in art, music and physical education. Maternity BVM Catholic Elementary School hosts guided reading sessions that assist students to build comprehension and fluency skills, as well as exposes them to a variety of literature, including stories, poetry and informational text. In addition, the school operates a parent-teacher association that conducts family-oriented activities and fundraising events. It is located in Bourbonnais, Ill.
