Where are these people?

Where are these people. I left them 50 items of clothing on May 5, 2009 and I was suppose to pick them up in 4 days. I didn't go back to get them that Saturday, but I went back the following week and I was told that my clothes weren't back yet. I thought it was a little strange, however, I was told by one a women that worked there that she would call me when they come in. Well I never got that call, so I followed up with thm again last Monday May 25, 2009 and I was told by a worker at the cleaners that they had a fire at their cleaning plant and some of my things were damaged.

She assured me that they had insurance and that they did have some of my clothes, but I haven't been able to reach these people by phone. I called more than several times and I keep getting the answering service and I couldn't get there to see what's going on becasue I'm having some car problems.. I should have followed my gut feeling before I left my clothes with them becasue I didn't know that the cleaners is now being run by new owners. I hate what I'm feeling and thinking right know because, when African Americans do business with Asian's and something goes wrong, they some how get selective amnesia in understanding the English language

I hope to God that I wrong about these people but I know one thing, OUCH!!! is a universal language. Just start looking for me soon on Judge Judy.

As a first time customer, I brought in a linen jacket to have altered on a Saturday before noon. I specifically and clearly asked if the work could be done by no later than 5 pm on the following Tuesday, for which I was told it could be done. When I arrived Tuesday, at 6pm, I received the "Deer in the Headlights Look", and my garment was not done and it was not in the store. I was asked if I could come back the next morning and I explained that I would be at the airport about to fly out by the time she opened. When I did return to pick-up, the item the woman offered no discount and only after my refusal to pay full price and offered a fare price did she eventually give up and le the item go. I am tolerant of mistakes, but when you are in a business that has a lot of competition, it seems you would want to compensate for mishaps and she did not even try. I will never step foot in her business again and hope you consider doing the same.
