Provided by YP.comAfter passing this hotel many times on my way to the casino my wife and two friends decided to stay at this hotel for what was to be a fun getaway weekend. The check-in experience went well and then we were off to the Casino. When we got back later that evening we went to the front desk for help, as we were hungry and they have Pizza Oven's in the lobby. They told us we could not use the pizza ovens due to liability issues and that the front desk staff would be happy to make us our pizza's. This being fine we went onto some couches in the lobby with my wife and two friends and waited. Being in the customer service industry myself I look for quality customer service, and pick up on really lousy customer service. I have to say that the interactions from the hotel front desk to some of there guests has to be some of the worst I've heard in any hotel business. The front desk person was rude, short with customers, and just plain did not want to be there. The person at the front desk also forgot about us. We were waiting expecting our pizza's to be done in 20 minutes or so, however after waiting and seeing them service pizza's to the other guests before us then locking herself in the office. Not knowing if they were being made, we waited for a bit over an hour, then resided in the fact that they weren't getting made, and went to bed hungry and upset.
The rooms themselves were OK - the wood decorating was appealing. The mirrors in both the bathroom and the main room were dirty with spots and streaks. The shower head looked like it hadn't been cleaned in years as the head was brown and calcified, making me not want to use the shower. The beds were hard, not particularly my taste but to some may find it OK.
Let me talk about the "continental breakfast" as well. VERY limited selection of bran cereal, some hard boiled eggs, one flavor of yogurt (Peach?), stale tasting coffee, and the "waffle maker" had burnt on waffle from what seemed like days ago so was unusable - which seemed like they knew about it as there was no batter to even try. No one from the hotel seemed to check the selection because they were out of milk and orange juice and the "fruit bowl" had 2 apples and a banana.
When checking out of the hotel it was about as appealing as the night time staff - short and rude. I cannot believe after taking $130 of my money that there was no "thank you" or anything of the sort. She didn't even ask us how the room or stay was!
Long story short, I do not recommend this hotel to anyone. Stay down the street at the Casino or do yourself a favor and drive to the Best Western about 10 miles away. It may be a drive but at least you won't be mad when you leave.
