Provided by YP.comMy wife and I stopped into the Camping World of Roseville, CA location look at two specific lightweight travel trailers and do a comparison from what we were looking at online from other dealerships. At first, our experience was positive; the salesperson we initially met was brand new and pleasant to deal with. He showed us the models we were interested in as well as a couple of different ones not on our list. Unfortunately, he was not able to answer most of our questions due to being new to the dealership and sales. We then returned to the showroom where he included Sherri Cooke to assist in answering our questions. That is when things started to go down from there.
Since we knew pretty much, what we wanted and our price range she seemed to be taken back by us (as she put it; you did your "homework"), she proceeded to ask questions outside of our scope of why we stopped in the first place which was unnecessary. I proceeded to make our offer, she then began to (as my wife felt bullying us to pay more); saying multiple things as well as "her and her family need to eat." What? Again, NOT necessary. The difference in price was only $500. I told her we were ready to purchase today; she insisted we fill out a credit application. I informed her we were unwilling to do that until we had agreed upon a price. Again, she kept insisting that we must do the credit application to proceed any further; she must of said that at least 3 times. I once again informed her I will not have them run our credit unless we first agreed upon a price, we didn't want a hard pull on our credit if we were not ultimately going to agree on a price! So Sherri Cooke got up went to the Manager's Desk without a credit application and about 30 seconds later returned and said they won't do the deal. I told her we would purchase today if we could come to an agreement, crazy that she and her "Manager" was unwilling to discuss any further.
It amazed us why Sherri Cooke was so rude to us through the process. I used to believe Camping World was a good and fair organization but the reality is any large company has a few bad employees representing the company such as Sherri Cooke who makes anyone wonder why we would ever step foot into a Camping World showroom again to even consider purchasing a new or used RV?
I possibly should have gone over to the Sales Manager desk myself to talk with them but my wife felt very embarrassed and just wanted to get the heck out of there. My wife reminded me that there are plenty of other RV dealerships that would be happy to accept our money and this place is just NOT worth dealing with!
