Nesbitt victimizes single mothers, does not protect children, in his OWN cases even in cases of known abuse. In my case, my ex husband had a lawyer with the Berg Firm, who was slated to be the next judge in this small, corrupt town. So, Nesbitt completely handed her my children on a silver platter. I was a teacher, stay at home mother and diligent safe parent, not an addiction of single error on my records, never spent a night away from my beautiful young children, until John. I ended up with nothing, my ex was a millionaire. I only had my children every other weekend and Wednesdays and he totally set this up.. his own client and it didn’t matter to him, only the money and his professional relationships are what John Nesbitt puts first. He abused me further with his gaslighting, bullying and fear tactics after we just left an abusive marriage and were trying to get on our feet and seek help. He ‘used up' my Father’s $10,000 retainer in only ONE month, then made a ridiculous statement of charges which were obviously not accurate. If you deal with this predator, take accurate notes and RECORD EVERYTHING. Better yet, don’t deal with him at all. His reputation has caught up to him in this town, not sure how he’s still getting business. Other more reputable law firms in town (aka, not family law) also say he’s not a good attorney. There’s a group of them here, like wolves all feeding off of the same kill, and their names don’t change, this is one of them.

Excellent lawyer that is truly kind and wants to help people. He got me out of a very dangerous marriage 14 years ago and I have used him for random things since then. He wants to be aware of the cost and is very open and communicative.

My ex had this guy. What a hothead, mouthy, belligerent egomaniac. Will railroad you into spending everything you possibly can because HE wants to fight. Not in your best interest or your child's. If you want an unethical lawyer who will be unscrupulous and arrogant, here's your man. John Nesbitt will be sure to ruin any possibility of a future civil relationship with your ex, create such animosity it will seem hopeless to move on after you have been needlessly victimized by this bully but maybe your ex will see, after all is done, a relationship is meaningful even if you're no longer together, for the sake of the child. John Nesbitt Is only a ghost of the past.
