I have been going to Bayshore Eye Care for almost twenty years. I am sorry to read these reviews, because I can tell you that it is repeatedly the BEST eye care I have ever had! The service is decent, the staff is knowledgeable, and Dr K Lawson consistently gives me the MOST ACCURATE prescription I've ever had. Even when I've lived 3-4 hours away, this is where I get my eyes checked. Recently, I went to another reputable store and had a good experience, but my glasses just didn't come out right. BEST optical in Florida.

I walked in to and immediately felt a awkwardness. They front desk person was already on the phone so I was going to wait til she got off to speak to her about my insurance and she said " can I help you?" I said " Can you speak I see your on the phone." She replied with " for a second" FIRST OFF who said that I needed QUICK service... I had insurance questions.. so I proceeded to ask if they accepted it and she didnt even try to check or call she jus quickly said " we usually dont take united health care." I asked if she knew who did and again another dead in and she said she couldn't help me.. I walked out and called my insurance immediately to see where I could find a provider and it only took me 30seconds to speak with a representative, and she couldn't even give the time to check and see if I wasn't or was covered she just said " usually"...there were NO SMILES , NO KINDNESS NO NOTHING!.. I Went to vision works an hour later and receieved outstanding customer service! I spent $$$ in there too.. too bad bayshore eye care wouldn't even give me the time of day. I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE GO THERE! .. not to mention I hadnt even told this story to a soul and one of my friends asked me where I got my glasses and she went on to say " I hope u didnt go to the bayshore eye care bc they are mean!" I was like OMG I had the same experience... she went on to tell me her horrible experience there. Anywhere but here folks! Thats all I can say!

Given 3 differ $ for glasses each time. And would not accept medicare.
