Provided by YP.comI brought in a brand new tailgate to get painted to match the factory color of my 06 Titan. Econo's "staff" took the tailgate out of my car and put it on a (stolen?) shopping cart - no joke. The old tailgate and the color code were supplied.
One week later I was called by Econo and told the tailgate was ready for pick up. The tailgate was on another shopping cart, painted - but missing the emblems. I rolled the shopping cart into the sun and placed a chip of paint from the old one on to the new to check for match. Wrong color.
The manager came out and at first wanted to argue that old paint fades but then realized the old one was darker than the new. While showing her the difference, I noticed a new slight crease on one side of the tailgate. To her credit - she didn't argue about either repainting or fixing the crease.
THREE WEEKS LATER, we were told it's ready for pick up. We get it into the light and the paint does match this time. The emblems are on - but the glue is bubbling out from all sides. I ran my hand across the tailgate and found "boogers" all over the new paint. A booger to me is a small drop of paint or dirt affixed to the paint because of sloppy conditions or a poorly maintained paint gun.
I asked the employee about it and he told me with dead eyes that "we don't wet sand". I asked him to explain himself; how can you say a product with so many imperfections is finished and that you don't wet sand? He said I could speak to the manager outside who was just coming in the door.
The "manager" confirmed - "we don't wet sand". I asked "so, you are telling me, after first the wrong color, then a dent, two weeks of waiting, and I'm supposed to finish the job myself? Because you 'don't wet sand'?"
The "manager" - who, by the way wasn't the person I had been dealing with previously, first started to complain about matching colors, then went on to tell me the dent was my fault, and finally, yes - go sand it yourself.

Provided by YP.comWANT A PERFECT PAINT JOB? DO NOT GO TO ECONO ON 1ST ST IN BRADENTON. AFTER THEM HAVING MY TRUCK FOR A TOTAL OF 2 WKS, THERE ARE NOW NEW DENTS THAT WERE NOT THERE BEFORE ON TOP OF TRUCK, AND VARIOUS SPOTS THROUGHOUT THE WHOLE TRUCK WHERE IT LOOKS AS THOUGH SAND FLEW UP WHILE THEY WERE PAINTING. DID NOT DO WELL AROUND WINDOWS OR MOLDINGS. PLEASE IF YOU WANT A GREAT PAINT JOB, THEN DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY HERE!!
