Lakewood Ranch High School is operated by the School District of Manatee County, which employs over 7,000 teachers. The school provides general academic programs to students in grades 9 through 12. It conducts classes in English, math, science and social studies. Its range of vocational courses includes marketing, journalism, business education and engineering technology. Lakewood Ranch High School also offers French, Latin and Spanish as foreign languages. The school operates a parent-teacher association that conducts several fundraising activities, including donation camps, dance shows and family nights. It offers various types of sports activities, such as baseball, basketball, football and softball. The school features a band, choir and orchestra, as well as art, dance and drama classes. In addition, it offers the English for Speakers of Other Languages program. The school also provides counseling, guidance, food and medical care.
