Personal Trainers can obtain a license on-line in just a few weeks. They ARE NOT healthcare professionals. By virtue of their minimal MEDICAL knowledge and training, THEY ARE NOT QUALIFIED TO GIVE DIETARY ADVICE, OR TELL THE CLIENT IN FRONT OF OTHERS, "YOU ARE IN DENIAL, OVERWEIGHT AND SHOULD LOOSE 30-40 LBS.", WITHOUT KNOWING ANYTHING ABOUT THAT CLIENT FROM A CLINICAL STANDPOINT. That should be left to PHYSICIANS AND DEGREED HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS involved in your care, particularly if you have any disease process, or a newly diagnosed healthcare issue.

ONLY a Registered, Licensed Dietician or Nutritionist should give you a diet plan and they will ALWAYS check with your Physician FIRST to make sure the diet is proper for YOU, following you closely with proper bloodwork.

In many cases, personal trainers place clients on diet plans, handing out diet powders and supplements to clients who CLEARLY have eating disorders and should be under a Physicians care to "gain", not to lose weight.

AGAIN PERSONAL TRAINERS ARE NOT QUALIFIED TO GIVE HEALTHCARE ADVICE OF ANY KIND, THEY SHOULD STICK TO WHAT THEY KNOW, NOTHING MORE THAN HOW TO CHANGE THE WEIGHT ON THE MACHINES. THEY HAVE A DISTORTED VIEW OF WHAT IS AN ATTRACTIVE BODY IN THE REAL WORLD WHERE MOST OF US LIVE, MANY PERSONAL TRAINERS HAVE THE BODY OF A SCRAWNY 12 YEAR OLD WITH AN OLD HEAD ON TOP, NOT SOMETHING MOST OF US ASPIRE TO, NOR IS ATTRACTIVE.

THE GOAL IS TO BE HAPPY, HEALTHY, FIRM AND AS FIT AS YOU CAN BE WITH ANY LIMITATIONS YOU MAY HAVE. NEGATIVITY, JUDGEMENT AND RUDENESS IS NOT A MOTIVATOR TO MOST PEOPLE.
