Established in 1917 through a private legislature act, the Bradford Special School District is located in Bradford, Tenn. It has a high school for more than 300 students in grades seven through 12. Its elementary school has more than 325 students in grades kindergarten through six. It has a school-parent compact, including elementary school, and the parents of the students participating in activities, services and programs funded by Title I, Part A of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act. The compact outlines how the parents, the entire school staff and the students share the responsibility for improved student academic achievement and the means by which the school and parents build and develop a partnership that help children achieve the State s high standards.
