Provided by YP.comThe Doctors are great along with their staff minus the front desk lady Donna who is very rude, has an attitude, and is not as awesome as the rest of the team there. Don' t let her discourage you, these are good people minus her.

Provided by YP.comWe have tried multiple vets and been very disappointed in their care. They have all been very thoughtful and have went out of the way to help our dogs. When my Border collie woke us up in the middle of the night having a major seizure they got us right in that morning when we called and gave us lots of advice and information on what all could be going on.
When she had more and we had to rush in they were more then willing to bend over backwards to help us get her better. Other vets when we suggested that her sister was having seizures and brushed us off Meade County Vet did not they listened and took our observations into consideration and took action right away and made our life so much better!
On top of that the prices are like Wow. I will be a lifetime customer! Thank you Meade County Vet!

Provided by YP.comI have been to all the vets in the area, as well as many in Louisville, and am most impressed by Meade County Vet Hospital. The staff are caring and the doctors will do everything in their power to help you, even before I was a client I called in for advice and a possible emergency and they researched and got back to me on what I could do to fix the problem with out their help. They are always patient with my nervous dog and even get down on the floor with my old and losing it dog, doing everything they can to not muzzle him which is what all the vets before have done before even attempting to treat him. I will not be changing vets again as these two are the best I have been to.

Provided by YP.comOver the past 25 years with the military we have been to countless vet clinics in both the U.S. & Germany, most of whom were very good. That said - WE HAVE NEVER been to any vet that went as ABOVE & BEYOND as the Meade County Veterinary Hospital in Brandenburg. Dr. Williams, Dr. Theno & their entire staff went to extraordinary lengths to ensure our dog, a Corgi named Bronco, was nursed back to health over a 2 1/2 month period from early November 2009 to mid-Jan 2010. The vets and the staff took in Bronco like he was one of their own family. We cannot overstate how thankful and appreciative we are for their professionalism, dedication, and for their genuine love and concern for Bronco. The Meade County Veterinary Hospital, led by Dr. Williams and Dr. Theno, truly went ABOVE & BEYOND our expectations to nurse Bronco back to health. Our sincere thanks & gratitude to all fo the staff at the Meade County Veterinary Hospital.

Provided by YP.comthis is the most wonderful vet i have found in the area. heck they even reconized my dog from an event at the fair which was over 6 months before i had ever taken my dog to them. you wont find a better group of people and i had no fear leaving my dogs with them over night to get spayed.

If you want your pet misdiagnosed
If you want your pet prescribed the wrong medications (ie. wrong diagnosis)
If you want to be ridiculed for questioning the diagnosis when the medications repeatedly have zero effect.
Never bring your pet here if it has a skin disorder. Skin disorders are sometimes tough to diagnose and time consuming, and usually not life threatening so they just go with the standard "hot spots" and/or "allergies" diagnosis. (easy, sounds good, can't be cured, generates repeat customers, and they can sell you meds forever)
To further frustrate things the receptionist gave me her "opinions" and "proffesional sounding advice" instead of directing my call to the Dr. like I asked.
On further research it appears she pulled that advice out of thin air to get me off the phone (it was near closing time) because everything she told me turned out to be total BS. I asked about testing for the disease my dog was clearly showing symptoms of and she made fun of me some more and talked me out of it. (these people will NOT change a diagnosis when they make a mistake even after they aquire information ruling it out. No one is perfect and everybody makes mistakes but ignoring/denying that mistake and continuing treatment for nonexistant illnesses just to keep their pharmacy stock moving is doing NOTHING for your beloved pet. This place is nothing but a "retail" business that caters to wealth and pedigree.....they don't have time for worthless mutts....human or animal.

Provided by YP.comI took my dog Dixie there numerous times. They are really friendly and the vets take time for you to ask questions and they will explain the answers very clearly. My dog was allergic to fleas and we did not know what was wrong with her. The vet spent about an hour with her going over everything that we wanted looked at. I live about 30 minutes away and I have no problem taking my dogs and cat there. I personally recommend this place to anyone and everyone.

Provided by YP.comI've had two dogs and soon to be two cats spayed at this clinic, and I would highly recommend it. They are a hometown group who really seem to care about animals. I live 45 minutes away, but will gladly drive it with my rat terrier, my beagle, and my two felines because I know they will take care of my beloved ones.
