Provided by YP.comI went to this place this evening and the food is just hopeless. This is not indian food at all. I got Chilli Chicken and it is just like Popcorn chicken from KFC and they are way too expensive. I checked prices on some other indian restaurants they are way cheaper than this price and i need to try the other.

Provided by YP.comI have eaten at Indian restaurants in several countries, and growing up in England have been eating this type of food since I can remember! I now live in Lithia and was so happy to find Taste of India. The dishes here are some of the best I have ever sampled, and I have brought many of my British relatives to try the lunch buffet as wel as the the full menu.
Without exception everyone agrees that this place rules supreme as the Best Indian Restuarant in we have discovered in North America. Trust me I know a thing or two about this cuisine, as my father was part owner of a curry house when I was young. I highly recommend trying the Chicken Tikka Masals as your first experience, while it is probably the least authentinc dish (actually invented in Scotland in an Indian Rest.) it is exceptional.
If you dont enjoy spicy hot dishes there are plenty of mild options and a friendly staff to guide you through the process. Taste of India is the best in Brandon of any style. Try something new, live a little!

Provided by YP.comI love eating here. My friend, who is Indian, says it is the most authentic Indian restaurant that we have in the area. He introduced the restaurant to me a couple of months ago, and I have returned there several times. The food is absolutely delicious. The staff is very polite. The atmosphere is formal, but comfortable and not too pretentious. My fiance and I have only visited during dinner hours and we have always been very satisfied. They definitely give us our money's worth.

Provided by YP.comI have eaten Indian cuisine in dozens of cities across this country and can say with authority that the food populating the lunch buffet of this establishment was an insult especially considering the somewhat inflated price of $10. The de rigueur dishes of lamb and chicken curries and tandoori chicken were present though somewhat lackluster. It was in the vegetable dishes where Taste of India was severely lacking. Not a paneer cube in sight. Also absent were sag, mattar, or any kind of chickpea or lentil dish. Chutneys but no pappadam. And the greatest offense of all, some weird coconut soup-like curry with the odd tomato or carrot chunk and hard-as-a-twig segments of okra that I had to spit onto my plate. That is the ultimate offense, paying for the joy of expelling inedible chunks onto a plate. If you know what to expect from a good Indian buffet don't patronize this place because you will be scorned, that is unless you consider a steam tray full of peas and corn, a black-eyed pea curry, or some new potatoes to be worth $10. Come to think of it, it was kind of like Indian-Southern fusion, but were where the curried collard greens? Yeah, also, the first Indian buffet I've been to that had freaking potato salad. Whatever.
