Beverly Smith opened her studio in 1965 after teaching for the City of Jackson for 4 years. The studio became an instant success with the dedication and determination of Ms Beverly. She has shared many awards herself along with her students. She has traveled all over the world teaching and judging competitions.. Her students have won many competitions and have made her so proud of their accomplishments. Also, lots of her students have opened their own successful studios and/or have become teachers. Although Ms Beverly enjoys the competitions, her focus on the studio is for children to have fun while they are learning to dance and enjoy music and movement. She believes the study of dance gives children performance opportunities, motor skill development, self confidence, discipline, mental stimulation and physical fitness.Ms Beverly is proud to have touched so many lives in a positive way.
