Established in 1999, The New Shanghai Circus is one of the first Chinese entertainment groups to invest in commercial acrobatic performances in the United States. It is a touring company from the Shanghai Magic Troupe that performs acrobatic shows, music events and theatrics. The company has a staff of artists, acrobats, performers and coaches who specialize in contortion, trapeze and solo bicycle riding activities. It has received the Branson Peace Award for promoting world peace through cultural arts. Located in Branson, Mo., the New Shanghai Circus is operated by the Non-Stop Creativity Corporation, which is a multinational company that specializes in shows, tourism, trade and health care fields. The Non-Stop Creativity Corporation also operates the New Shanghai Theatre, which features Chinese architecture and has a seating capacity of more than 900 people.
