Brazil City Police Department is operated by the city of Brazil, Ind. The police department offers law enforcement services to the community. The city also operates various departments, such as fire, planning and zoning, public works, water, wastewater, and park and recreation. Its park and recreation department maintains parks covering more than 140-acres of land. The city parks system consist of three parks, including Forest Park, Babe Wheeler Park and George Craig Park. The Water Department pumps more than 55 million gallons of water to over 4,500 customers throughout northern Clay County and the towns of Knightsville, Ind. The Brazil public works operates though its various departments, including street, cemetery and sanitation department.
