Provided by YP.comThe new property manager is one of the rudest people I have ever met. It takes the maintenance staff 3 or more trips to fix things. The buildings are old and cracking and need completely renovated. I cannot believe the price we paid for such poor living conditions. The office staff in general is just not intelligent and did not communicate issues to maintenance staff. If you make the terrible decision to rent here, make sure you submit a maintenance request for everything. We had animals in our walls every night running around waking us up.
We had a leak in our ceiling from the toilet above us, which created a hole above our shower. Rather than fix the leak, maintenance just patched the hole 3 times. After it caved in 3 times they decided to fix the leak. The hole with the leaky sewage water caused approximately 200-300 blow flies in our apartment in one weekend, making it impossible to even eat in our kitchen. After 3 weeks without being able to use that shower I had to visit the office for 2 weeks straight before receiving only $50 dollars off our $1300 rent. What a joke. The leak ended up causing mold in our closet as the water had leaked through. Maintenance just painted over it when we moved out I'm sure.
The furnace went out FOUR times in the winter. It seriously took maintenance 4 times to fix a furnace correctly. During the ice storm in early 2015 they failed to address the icy sidewalks for an entire week. Their excuse was that there was no salt, yet the office sidewalks were clear as can be, and you can remove ice with a shovel or various other methods. Honestly upsetting to pay a premium price to have such lazy staff members.
When we moved in at this time last year there was a waiting list. Now, there are 60+ apartments available because nobody wants to live there as it has become the "slums" of Brentwood. We actually moved out before our lease was up due to being so fed up with an apartment that you just could not live comfortably in. You never know when a critter will be visiting you through a vent (I actually killed a mole in my bedroom one day and my neighbor caught a snake in her kitchen).
With that said, when we tried to move out early due to the numerous issues, management tried to assess a re-let fee over $1,000 and charge us to pay out the rest of our lease. It was like rubbing in the fact that they provided such poor service that they wanted to get one more jab in before we left. So when they tell you your satisfaction is guaranteed, they are lying right to your face. They will get every penny out of you for your lease no matter how unsatisfied you are and how poor and unlivable the condition of your apartment is.
TRUST ME, paying this price to have the location/schools is NOT worth it. All you will get is empty promises, poor service, mold, critters, flies, and maybe even backed up raw sewage laying in your bathtub when you wake up one Saturday morning like what happened to me while living there.
All of these negative reviews on here are true and things are only getting worse at The Landings. It will be the worst decision you will make, DO NOT MOVE HERE. There is a reason the price is "affordable" for this area. I would say you get what you pay for, but you don't even get that.

Provided by YP.comMy roommate and I moved in at the beginning of August and until this week we have been happy with our choice of moving into the Landings. On Tuesday 9/16 my roommate woke up to bees in here bedroom. She is allergic to bees. She put in a maintenance request and we received an email that it was taken care of. A few short hours later there were more bees in her room. Clearly the issue was not fixed. Both her and I have called to get somebody out there to really fix the issue but clearly there is no sense of urgency. She has found more bees in there today. We apparently have to wait for the WEEKLY pest control guy comes out tomorrow (Thursday) for them to take a look. Need I remind you that my roommate is allergic. I am shocked and appalled that there isn't a better system or protocol in place for issues to this severity.
The way the front office is handling this issue, or should I say lack there of, is completely ridiculous and unacceptable. If she gets stung, it's on your watch.

Provided by YP.comWhatever you do, stay away. 12+ maintenance issues since we moved in October 2013, ranging from ceiling leaks (the same leak 5 times in 2 months!) to kitchen sink leaks. Maintenance staff is incompetent and the management staff refuses to call professional assistance.
